Yes, you read that right! Digital Coupons

DIAC wants to get with the times and be kinder to our planet in the process.

Read on below for all the details on the 2023 DIAC Member Coupon Program.

We're excited about and we hope you will be too!

What's the big news? Our Member Coupon Program won't be printed in booklets for the 2023 National Dental Conferences...it will be hosted online. Conference delegates will access it on their mobile phones by scanning a QR code.

Why the change? Well, there are a few reasons:

  • We've all become much more adept at using our phones for business and social purposes (thanks in part to our pal Covid-19). People use their phones to find information, shopping, entertainment and connect in all sorts of ways
  • Eliminating printed booklets means less physical waste and a smaller carbon footprint
  • Cost Savings for the Association and our Members (we will minimize design, printing and shipping costs).

How will it work for our members? 

  • In Advance: Our members will send us digital image files for their coupons and info on their exhibitor booth location, plus any web link they would like us to embed in the coupon image. 
  • Online: All coupons will appear in a scrolling slideshow at the top of the digital coupon web page and be listed alphabetically by exhibitor company name on the page below
  • At the Conferences: Pop-up signage at entrances to the exhibitor floor will remind delegates the coupons have gone digital and feature the QR code prominently

How will delegates find and use the digital coupons? 

  • Printed post cards promoting the program will be placed in every delegate's welcome bag at each conference. A QR code will lead their phone's web browser to our digital coupon page.

  • Pop-up signage at entrances to the exhibitor floor will remind delegates the coupons have gone digital and feature the QR code prominently

  • Delegates can show the coupons on their device screen at exhibitors' booths to redeem coupons

You can view the page on your computer as well, but the layout is optimized for mobile viewing.


OPTIONS & SPECS

Options:

  • Two types of coupons are available - Static (just an image) and Clickable (link embedded in image).

Pricing:

  • Static Coupons are $150 each or buy bundles of 3 for $400
  • Clickable Coupons are $200 each or buy bundles of 3 for $500
    • Bundles of 3 can be distributed as you like. Place 3 coupons on the ODA Digital Coupon page...or place 1 coupon on each show's page - the choice is yours!

File Specs:

  • Hi-resolution .png or .jpeg files. Minimum resolution of 500px x 750px
  • 2:3 ratio in portrait orientation
  • Finished digital coupon artwork MUST be provided by advertiser




HOW TO MAKE IT HAPPEN

The Process:

1) Buy your coupons in the DIAC webstore - see below! Please pay when you place your order, or ensure your company pays its invoice promptly. 'No pay = no publish'
2) Submit your information and files by the deadline for each conference. Send your files and info to nancy@keycursor.com and heather@diac.ca. Be sure to include:

  • the digital coupon image files
  • your company name, your logo and your exhibitor booth number to be listed above your coupons
  • IF you have purchased clickable coupons, provide the web address to which each coupon should link. (This can be a page on your website, your social media - it's your choice!)

Timelines:

Digital Coupon files and info must be submitted at least 5 full weeks before the start of each conference.

  • PDC in Vancouver is March 9-11 2023. PDC Coupon artwork is due by February 3.
  • ODA ASM in Toronto is May 11-13. ODA Coupon artwork is due April 7.
  • JDIQ in Montreal is May 27-30. JDIQ Coupon artwork is due April 21. *Bilingual or French text is required*
